چکیده

Dark matter halos that reach the HI-cooling mass without prior star formation or external metal pollution represent potential sites for of small - extremely faint Population III galaxies at high redshifts. Gravitational lensing may in rare cases boost their fluxes to detectable levels, but find even a number such objects randomly selected regions sky requires very large areas be surveyed. Because this, small, wide-field telescope can principle offer better detection prospects than with smaller field view. Here, we derive minimum comoving density required allow gravitational lift redshift $z=5-16$ above thresholds blind surveys carried out James Webb space (JWST), Roman (RST) and Euclid. We photometric detections Pop is promising, they are RST JWST However, favoured by current simulations have densities too low spectroscopic based on strength HeII1640 emission line any considered unless efficiencies ($\epsilon > 0.1$) envoked. argue targeting individual cluster lenses instead wide this paper results prospects, while detection, perform considerably better.

the search for the self in becketts theatre: waiting for godot and endgame

this thesis is based upon the works of samuel beckett. one of the greatest writers of contemporary literature. here, i have tried to focus on one of the main themes in becketts works: the search for the real "me" or the real self, which is not only a problem to be solved for beckett man but also for each of us. i have tried to show becketts techniques in approaching this unattainable goal, base...

The James Webb Space Telescope

The scientific capabilities of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) fall into four themes. The End of the Dark Ages: First Light and Reionization theme seeks to identify the first luminous sources to form and to determine the ionization history of the universe. The Assembly of Galaxies theme seeks to determine how galaxies and the dark matter, gas, stars, metals, morphological structures, and ...

Studying Resolved Stellar Populations with the James Webb Space Telescope

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) will be an exciting, highly capable tool, able to make important contributions to studies of stellar populations in nearby galaxies, including our own. JWST observations will contribute to: (1) the study of the star formation histories of nearby galaxies, exploiting the large lever arm provided by visibleinfrared colors; (2) the derivation of the properties...
